Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 20:24):Is anyone else have issues with Confluence? We hare having trouble creating new pages with templates and adding labels to existing pages.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:24):Was this today? About what time?
Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 20:25):It's been for a few days now. We - Public Health work group - had reported the issue with templates earlier this week. I just tried to add a label to a page now with no success.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:26):We were aware of issues with Create, but our version was end-of-lifed and I could not ask for support.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:26):There were a series of upgrades that completed this morning.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:26):We are now on the latest version of Confluence and encourage everyone to please keep going.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:26):If there are issues that happen still, with create or anything, please let me know!
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:29):Also, I love the Public Health Work Group space, it's a great example of page tree usage for things like the meeting notes
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:30):The project list is really well done. Just glad to see the usage. Please take a look at the upgraded site. We now have Collaborative Editing! (we'll have to see how well it works... :-) )
Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 20:32):...both are still issues. When trying to add a label to a page, we see a generic error message. And when we try to create a new page using a template, it just hangs. No templates (e.g. meeting notes, etc.) are presented as options.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:32):okay, so you are seeing this right now in the public health work group. You want to create a page
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:33):May I ask what Browser version you are using?
Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 20:46):I've tried with IE, Chrome and Safari.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:47):When you tried with Chrome do you happen to know the version of Chrome?
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:47):Also, in Chrome, could you visit this site and tell me if Websockets are supported? http://websocket.org/echo.html
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:47):I really appreciate your patience on this, I'd like to work through the issue so it's fixed for everybody.
Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 20:54):latest version of Chrome. And yes, websockets are supported
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:55):okay, well that's good news.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:55):Those two things indicate you should be able to do this.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:55):Can you try something else for me?
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:56):I know this sounds weird, but it would really help.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:56):I understand you are logged into Confluence, right?
Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 20:56):I can be
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:57):Just to be sure, you were when you were trying to create, right?
Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 20:57):yes
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:57):Yeah, you must have been. No button otherwise. :-)
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:57):So while logged into confluence, I'd like to know if you could select the tri-menu and then select JIRA in the top left
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:57):Then with the same username and password log into JIRA
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 20:58):then use the tri-menu to come back to Confluence, and still logged in, select create.
Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 21:00):that seems to work
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 21:00):okay, still a bug. and not a convenience to the user at all.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 21:00):But what we've seen is that you have to be logged into JIRA in order to create in Confluence.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 21:01):I'm going to report this to Atlassian (confluence vendor) immediately
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 21:01):Thank you very much for helping to debug this. We've been hoping to figure out a way to recreate it.
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 21:02):I'll probably post this on the main page of Confluence. It's very frustrating but people will need to know.
Joginder Madra (Apr 12 2018 at 21:02):thanks
David Johnson (Apr 12 2018 at 21:02):Thank you!
David Johnson (May 14 2018 at 15:34):Anyone in Cologne: I'm considering a Confluence Restart but want to know current status of meeting
David Johnson (May 14 2018 at 15:35):restarting, given permission from Wayne
David Johnson (Jan 24 2020 at 15:53):There are known issues with updating pages/saving attachments in Confluence. Joshua Procious is aware of the issue and is researching a fix now. Confluence may be unavailable for brief periods while the issue is resolved.
Joshua Procious (Jan 24 2020 at 16:15):Confluence is back online. If you have any questions or need assistance with data during a page load missing, please let me know here or at joshua@hl7.org.
David Johnson (Jan 28 2020 at 18:18):Kudos to Josh for a successful JIRA upgrade this morning. And by kudos I mean...
Joshua Procious (Jan 30 2020 at 13:28):Confluence is still undergoing an upgrade. Thank you for your patience. Approx time 1hour.
Joshua Procious (Jan 30 2020 at 15:15):Thank you for your continued patience. Confluence new up time 12:00 PM EST
Joshua Procious (Jan 30 2020 at 16:43):Confluence is back online. If you have any questions, please email joshua@hl7.org.
