Topic: Delete a stream?

view this post on Zulip Kevin Power (Oct 03 2018 at 16:53):

I misspelled a name on a stream just now (on the chat.fhir.org side), but I can't seem to find a way to correct it or even delete it and recreate it? Is that possible? The stream I created is "genomics/commiters" ( I missed the 2nd 't'). If someone else can rename or delete for me now, that would be great. Thanks.

I'd be very interested in the results of this. Topics and streams have a way of permanently setting themselves in.

I think an administrator can delete a stream

I don't have chat.fhir.org admin credentials, but I see I can delete streams here.

It's topics that seem to last forever.

I have seen in Zulip that you have a short period of time (like an hour) that has been configured to let you change topic names, but after that they are set. But it doesn't seem there is the a similar grace period for streams.

BTW - Grahame fixed it for me.

I'm glad! It must be an admin thing. Good to know.

@David Johnson - you're an admin, you should have the power...

on chat.hl7.org yeah,

I don't think I have it on chat.fhir.org and that's cool. I know you run a standalone server.

Correct. If you find that's causing problems, let us know and we can revisit.
